The Black Lives Matter movement reached Glasgow yesterday as over 8000 protestors gathered for a peaceful demonstration.
The organisers set up speakers and decks outside the Nelson Monument.
They gave out masks to protestors gathered around Nelson Monument.
The protest was organised by Magic City, a collective of Hip-Hop DJ’s and featured multiple speakers.
The speakers delivered passionate statements sharing anecdotes of racial bigotry.
Many protestors were equipped with masks and gloves.
Protestors were giving out food and water during the demonstration.
No protestor was fined, and two arrests were made however aside from this the demonstration was peaceful, emotional and powerful.
